“You are all climate lawyers now, whether you want to be or not.” - John Kerry
No legal practice area will be untouched by climate change. Lawyers play increasingly central roles in the climate transition, both as advisors and facilitators.
Lawyers turn climate ambitions and goals into binding commitments and obligations. They advise clients in major transactions, assess risk, and provide dispute strategies. Their skills, insights and hard work are essential to the societal transformation underway.
This one-day conference will explore how climate transition – including innovation, mitigation and adaptation – affects lawyers in a range of different sectors and industries.
The program will include, for example:
Company representatives sharing their views on business opportunities embedded in the transition.
Law-firms discussing how to meet clients’ evolving needs for legal advice.
Government lawyers explaining how new legislation and requirements impact procurement and contracting procedures.
More information will follow shortly.
